Yakshagana Cultural Festival
Yakshagana performances are an important part of the cultural heritage of Dakshina Kannada and the coastal Karnataka region. Performances combine dance, music, elaborate costumes, dialogue and storytelling based on traditional episodes from Indian epics and folklore. Yakshagana programmes are commonly held during the traditional performance season.
