Duty Medical Officer

As a Duty Medical Officer at Balaji Medical Centre Private Limited in Dakshina Kannada (Mangalore branch), you will be responsible for overseeing outpatient clinical consultations, diagnostic evaluations, and specialized maritime health examinations. Core duties include conducting comprehensive Pre-Employment Medical Examinations (PEME), routine periodic health checkups, and physical fitness certifications for seafarers and industrial workers in strict compliance with DG Shipping and international maritime health standards. The role entails taking detailed patient histories, performing thorough physical assessments, ordering and interpreting preliminary diagnostic tests (such as ECG, pathology labs, and digital X-rays), and stabilizing acute outpatient emergencies. A qualified candidate must hold an MBBS degree registered with the Karnataka Medical Council (KMC) (or state medical council), possess strong clinical judgment and triage capabilities, and demonstrate clear cross-functional communication to collaborate effectively with diagnostic laboratory technicians, administrative staff, and corporate maritime clients.
